healthy living: apple cider vinegar

It is no secret that the lovely ladies of are some healthy creatures!

So, we have decided to start sharing some of our healthy recipes, fitness routines and herbal solutions for better health.

Let’s start with one of my oldest and favorite secrets, that is less and less a secret these days!


there are so many medically proven benefits for the inside and outside of your body…

but everyone I have known to try some of these recipes have seen surprising results and so i will share them with you now.

The most important thing to know is that you must use the unpasturized and unfiltered version such as Bragg’s with the “mother”.

Here is a great treatment to help calm your skin:
Apple Cider Vinegar and Tea Tree Oil Facial Toner
To make a natural, inexpensive toner that will fight acne by zapping bacteria and unclogging pores,you’ll need the following: 1/2 cup of home-brewed green tea (using distilled water is best), one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar, a few drops of tea tree oil, and a clean, dry bottle. You can spritz this on your face and wipe of with a clean dry cloth. or dab with a cotton wisp.

Some other helpful benefits of APPLE CIDER VINEGAR (ACV)
– helps with sinus issues and allergies
-helps with stomach cramps and diarrhea
-prevents indigestion
-can help with muscle and joint pain
-it is a natural energy booster
-it is a natural cleanser and promote weight loss

I have tried several recipes to drink ACV daily. In the beginning it may be very strong to you. I loved it immediately even though it is a bit weird, I felt like it was doing something as soon as I took my first sip! Of course it was!

One of the easiest to make and get used to is the “apple pie” recipe
2 tbs ACV
2 tbs unsweetened apple juice
1 tsp of agave or stevia
1 tsp of ground cinnamon
16oz of water
mix together stir and drink!

Another one that I go to when I am not feeling well is:
2 tbs ACV
2 tbs fresh lemon juice
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp cayenne
1 tsp agave
16oz of water
stir and drink!

one last one that I love to drink on a hot day:
2 tbs ACV
2 tbs coconut oil ( this will harden in cold water so your drink needs to stay room temp)
2 tbs lemon juice
and a couple sprigs of mint!
super refreshing and great at keeping you feeling energized and curbs your appetite!
